Despite age-old community concerns, the city and state housing agencies chose the corner of Bruton Rd. and St. Augustine Dr. as a place to invest low income housing tax credits where families with children and others would be steered to live. We now know this infamous corner as the place where thirteen-year-old Malik Tyler was shot and killed by a stray bullet. WE MUST DO BETTER. LIVES DEPEND UPON IT.
